Heineken Regatta

In 2009 & 2010 LOT1038 sponsored the Heineken Regatta, known as the biggest sail event on Curacao. For this event LOT1038 designed and furnished the V.I.P. area, a 200m2 deck close to the main stage and St. Anna Baai. Upfront we know that this project only would last for 36 hours, this did not withhold us for filling the needs of creating spectacle for this event.

In 2009 we made a fantastic colorful illuminate evening show. The Bubble club seats from Kartell, designed by Philippe Starck, are blended with illuminated Slide products, wine coolers in the shape of a wine glass called Drink, bar elements called Jumbo bar and curved seating objects called Snake. All products are in white polypropylene; the RGB (Red/Green/Blue) LED light bulbs in many of the products did their work to create a colorful spectacle.

In 2010 we wanted to re‐invent the Heineken Regatta V.I.P. We introduced Tuuci parasols to create shade, all combined with seats in several possibilities high, lounge and dining height form Vondom. The Tuuci parasols where partly produced with Designers Guild fabrics, the other part had the regular Sunbrella fabrics. The Vondom products, the Jut series tables and chairs and barstools, Doux sofa’s and lounge chairs and the Moma bar tables in white and purple completed the project.
